I had promised my friend Sarah that I would look after her dog Mollie for a few days while she visited her sister. We decided to take Mollie to Dartmouth for the weekend and all enjoyed a good 9 mile walk along the Dart Valley Trail, following the route west of the River Dart past Old Mill Creek to Dittisham. After a picnic lunch by the Ferry Boat Inn, we crossed the river on the ferry and walked back along its eastern side, returning to Dartmouth on the Higher Ferry. A fabulous day.
